William Ricketts was an Australian ceramist and sculptor, born in Victoria. Many of Ricketts's lifelong ceramics and sculptures are in the William Ricketts Sanctuary, which was built into a park in the 1960s when the state government of Victoria bought his home from him. It blends the natural and spiritual worlds perfectly. Its sculptures are made of kiln clay and then arranged in the forest.
Lekki Nature Reserve, a place to see a little monkey, walk a little suspension bridge, quite interesting, $2,000 Naira.
This is a famous cultural and artistic center, with celebrities, entertainers from all over the place. Worth visiting
This jungly-area is still in Lagos, and is good for an afternoon nature walk without having to really leave the city. Monkeys, peacocks will accompany you but you won't be coming face to face with any big game. Would be a good spot to bring kids.
Cool place, some expats here as well
A little preserved part of the marshlands that used to dominate Lekki before it was developed. It has Mona monkeys crocodiles, and an array of birds for twitchers. It has walkways built over the slush, and is pretty cool for those looking to take a stroll. Bring some mosquito repellant though.
The place where you can see the natural resources of Nigeria. If you are lucky, you can see crocodile, snakes in their natural habitat. If you are up to a challenge, please climb to the Tree House.
