The Papa Temple is located in the eastern part of the town of Jilong, built around 637 AD, at an altitude of 2850m. The construction period is unknown, it is rumored to be one of the townside temples established in the border town when Songzan Ganbu welcomed the Nepalese princess Chizun. Its architectural style is mainly based on the architectural style of the Nepalese temple.
