Pantai Sabak

Pantai Sabak is an interesting place to visit and learn more about the daily life of the Kelantanese people. You can experience the calm and serene surroundings, with soothing ocean breeze an lovely stretch of golden beach.The traditional fishing villages seen here are typical examples of the soul of the East Coast. The sight at these villages are not something tourists can see everyday at their own country. As well as being a small picturesque harbor for fishing boats, Pantai Sabak boasts fine golden sands fringed by coconut palms. It is a perfect spot to picnic and relax while observing the return of the fishing boats. Gentle waves lap the shore and the water is warm and clear. Colorful fishing boats can be seen returning from their daily catch and you can see wholesalers bargaining with the fishermen for their fishes.Pantai Sabak also has its own historical significance. It was here that the Japanese soldiers first landed on Malaya soil during World War II.

Visited the beach due to its interesting historical significance, and there wasn't a memorial, there wasn't a plaque, heck, there wasn't even a beach. Also, the locals said that the british defences had fallen into the sea. So basically, there is nothing here to indicate its role in WW2, or that it ever had any.

Pantai Sabak merupakan sebuah mukim di daerah Sering, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Mukim-mukim lain di daerah Sering ialah Chepa, Pulau Gajah, Pengkalan Datu, Pulau Belanga, Chicha Menyambong, Kedai Lalat, dan Gertak Kechupu. Terdapat sebanyak 131 mukim kesemuanya di jajahan Kota Bharu.

Pantai Dasar Sabak is not that famous as other beaches. It near Kota Bharu was one of the spots chosen by the Japanese Army to land its initial invasion force on 8th December. The Ismail Petra Airport also to be just around the corner.
