Visited the beach due to its interesting historical significance, and there wasn't a memorial, there wasn't a plaque, heck, there wasn't even a beach. Also, the locals said that the british defences had fallen into the sea. So basically, there is nothing here to indicate its role in WW2, or that it ever had any.
Pantai Sabak merupakan sebuah mukim di daerah Sering, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. Mukim-mukim lain di daerah Sering ialah Chepa, Pulau Gajah, Pengkalan Datu, Pulau Belanga, Chicha Menyambong, Kedai Lalat, dan Gertak Kechupu. Terdapat sebanyak 131 mukim kesemuanya di jajahan Kota Bharu.
Pantai Dasar Sabak is not that famous as other beaches. It near Kota Bharu was one of the spots chosen by the Japanese Army to land its initial invasion force on 8th December. The Ismail Petra Airport also to be just around the corner.
