Stirling Castle | Overlooking the vast Scottish fields.
From Edinburgh, it takes an hour's drive to reach Stirling Castle, which is built on a cliff. As a former royal palace and military fortress in Scotland, its biggest feature is its high terrain, which offers a panoramic view of the distance and a very broad field of vision.
🚉Transportation guide:
It's quite far to come here alone, so you can combine it with nearby attractions and join a local small group. Recommended route: Edinburgh ➡️ Stirling Castle ➡️ Loch Lomond, completing a one-day tour of castles and Highland scenery.
❤️Recommendation reason:
The buildings inside the castle have their own unique features, and the sculptures on the walls are very interesting. This was once the place where Mary Queen of Scots was crowned, a famous event in Scottish history. Many Scottish kings have left their mark here, and there are many historical allusions and exhibitions of this kind. Compared with England, the castle has a quaint beauty. We arrived close to dusk, but it was still charming. We captured the sunset and the vast fields in this historically rich place.
🕙Business hours:
The closing time is 5 pm, and during the summer season, it is 6 pm. The ticket is about 18 pounds per person.
Scotland’s historic castle where you can take tours around the property to understand the architecture and history of Ancient Scotland. the audio guide tour was also helpful. The place was beautiful and serene with behind the back backdrop of Scottish highlands.

I’ve been to the castle a few times previously but this time I thought I’d make mention of the guides. The castle is great and worth a visit anytime but this visit I was struck by the amount times I was approached by a guide who asked me how my visit was and then imparted knowledge about the particular part of the castle I was in.Excellent service, thank you.
Stirling Castle is worth visiting for people who have gone to Scotland. This sense of history, the sense of vicissitudes and the harmony and unity of the surrounding environment, and the basic complete experience of the "Brave Heart" movie. Seeing these photos of me has the feeling of a blockbuster [scenery]
Here is where William Wallace, the leader of the Scottish uprising in the famous Oscar-winning film Braveheart, commanded the battle of Stirling Bridge. Stirling Castle looked solid and once the king's palace. Feel all the attractions in Scotland have a sense of vastness, let people here naturally calm down, quietly feel all this.
