The commanding height of the second snow area is Stockhorn at 3405 meters above sea level. When I think of it, I need to take a 40-minute uphill train from Zermatt to Gornergrat. The train usually has only three or four carriages, and it also climbs the mountain by gears in the middle of the track. The scenery along the way is very good. Then take the gondola from Gornergrat to Hohtalli, and then change to the gondola to get to Stockhorn. However, due to insufficient snow this year, Stockhorn has not been opened once, and Hohtalli is only open two days a week.
Take the cable car up the mountain and enjoy the magnificent peaks and glaciers. You can walk down the trail for two or three stops and you can see a few small lakes along the way that reflect the Stoke Peak. It is beautiful.
