Dehua University's campus is located in the southwest of the original railway station, with a large area, from Shanxian Road to Fanxian Road in the north, to Guizhou Road to the south, and to Yutai Road in the east. The main teaching building is located in the south, two floors high, four slopes of the roof, and the rear is the auditorium and library. The campus also includes two student accommodations in the north, as well as a service building and a residence.

It was formed by the joint formation of Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nankai University. The three schools were initially moved to Hunan as Changsha Temporary University, and began classes on November 17, 1937. This date was later designated as the celebration of the University. With the advance of the sun, Changsha was critical, and the three schools moved to Kunming, Yunnan. Its former site is located in the 121st campus of Yunnan Normal University.
