Yuquan Temple

Yuquan Temple is located in Yuquan Shandong Province, 12 kilometers southwest of Dangyang City, Yichang City, Hubei Province. The central scenic area is 8.9 square kilometers. It is rumored that during the Jian'an period of the East Han Dynasty, the monks Pujing knotted here. When the south was the Liang Dynasty, Liang Xuan Emperor - Yuquan Temple was "Covered Ship Mountain Temple". The Yuan Dynasty was changed to "Yuquan Temple". The Grand Xiong Pavilion of Yuquan Temple is the largest ancient building in southern China.

Founded in the East Han Dynasty, Pujing Buddhist monks settled here, Liang Xuandi of the North and South Dynasties repaired "Covered Chuanshan Temple", during the Kaihuang Dynasty, the founder of Chinese Buddhist Tiantai Zong Zhi 𫖮 came here to advocate, and Yuan Wendi gave the name "Yuquan Temple", becoming one of the ancestral courts of Tiantai Zong, with Nanjing Qixia Temple, Shandong Changqing Lingyan Temple, The Tiantai Guoqing Temple in Zhejiang Province is also called "the jungle of the world". During the northern end of the Tianyu period, it was known as "Jingchu Conglin's Crown". The "Yuquan Temple and the Iron Tower" was announced by the State Council as the second batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country, which is the key monasteries opened to the outside world in China's Han nationality area in 1982.

The ancient temple of the millennium is one of the Buddhist rooftop ancestral courts. The temple iron tower is also known as the "thousand Buddha tower". It was cast in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is one of the eight scenes of Yuquan and is a key cultural relics of the country. It is the highest, heaviest and most complete ancient iron tower in China.
