When it comes to surrounding houses and earth buildings, many people think of Yongding and Nanjing in Fujian for the first time. In fact, Meizhou, which is a source of Hakka, also hides many well-preserved houses. The level of sophistication is no less than the former two. Tai'an Building, located in Longgang Village, Hutun Town, Dapu County is a classic representative of Meizhou's surrounding buildings. Tai'an Building was built in the 28th year of Qing Emperor Qianlong (AD 1764) and has a history of 253 years. The Fangshiweiwu building, which is extremely rare in the world, is called the Historical and Humanities Museum. Tai'an Building is a masonry structure, sitting northeast to southwest, 49 meters long, 52.6 meters wide, 11 meters high, divided into three floors. The housing is distributed in an orderly manner along the direction of the enclosure. Walking house is generally windproof, waterproof, shockproof and fireproof. Most of them have remained strong for hundreds of years. Take the Tai'an Building as an example. Although it has experienced 253 spring and autumn, it does not see the traces of damage. It is a miracle in the architectural world. There is only one gate in the Tai'an Building. There are patios, wells and ancestral halls in the building. The patio can be used for daylighting and for grain storage; the well is convenient for residents to use water and, if necessary, for firefighting; the temple is the place where the ancestors are worshipped. Since Tai'an Building has only one gate, and the walls are thicker and thicker, it can be protected from moisture and heat, and can be insulated and cool. Special architectural style makes the entire Tai'an Building a solid "military fortress", easy to defend and difficult to attack, anti-theft, anti-enemy powerful. Having said that, I can't help but think of many old war scenes. At that time, Taian Building was definitely a first-class command center.
