It makes you feel the excitement of being by the sea and playing on rides just like a child. I live in Shanghai and still love to spend a summer holiday in Dalian and in Xinghai square, the perfect summer holiday desitnation in China. Whilst the rest of China is super hot, Dalian feels like an oasis. The cool sea breeze and less humid climate. Xinghai square is a great place to enjoy the fun of Dalian. The square itself is just a very large area of grass which makes walking and parking to the seafront more difficult. However, it is beautifully maintained and adds to the charm. Next to the square are lots of fun rides, some good restaurants and a large concrete monument/ structure which looks like something from a skate park. The square gets very busy in the summer but never enough to need to queue for things. There is a small area of beach which can get dirty with things from people’s barbeques. However, there is a great view of the bridge and out to sea. One of our favourite (but childish) things to do is to rent a small electric car and drive it around. Visiting Xinghai Square in Dalian was a captivating experience. The vast square, overlooking the Yellow Sea, boasts impressive modern architecture and a vibrant atmosphere. As I strolled along the promenade, I admired the striking sculptures and enjoyed the sea breeze. The square's centerpiece, the Xinghai Sun Plaza, is a stunning sight, especially at sunset when the sky transforms into a palette of warm hues. Locals engaging in various activities added a lively touch to the ambiance. Whether relaxing on the beach or exploring the nearby museums, Xinghai Square offers a perfect blend of cultural richness and scenic beauty.
Xinghai Square is great, there are a lot of seagulls, it is beautiful, there is a playground inside, and you can also take a boat. But note that Xinghai Square and Xinghai Park are not a place!
At night, Xinghai has a little light, you can look at the sea bridge from a distance, there are many amusement facilities inside, but every play, you have to pay a penny, but the square itself is still good, families can go to play once.
