Taiji Gorge is located in Shigu Town, Danjiangkou City, on the bank of the Danjiangkou Reservoir, the source of the middle line of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project. It is a provincial-level geological park in Hubei Province. The scenic area is 60 square kilometers and the core area is 38 square kilometers. It consists of more than 10 caves. It is said that it is Wudang Mountain. The place where the Emperor Wudis emperor lived in seclusion. The scenic spot is beautiful, the Danxia landform is magical and magnificent, and the stone forest landscape is awesome. It is an ideal place for sightseeing, leisure health, scientific research and adventure. In November 2010, Taiji Gorge was awarded the national AAAA-level tourist scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration. Taiji Gorge is an important part of the Danjiangkou National Forest Park, a national forest park.
