Sean MundyA very enjoyable experience. Surprised to find a long line or big crowd during the National Day holiday. Quick and easy to get a ticket and towards the elevator. The weather was good to get some great panoramic views and photos of Shenzhen, the Pearl River and Hong Kong.
_We***75This place is great for a long stroll while enjoying amazing artwork. There is also food and beverages available for purchase. It has beautiful sceneries of major sites across the world. The details in the miniature replicas are amazing, and for an addition fee you can get printed pictures dressed in old-fashioned European and Egptian attire. At the end of the tour, you can enjoy live dance performances.
Shenzhen is one of the most thriving, dynamic, modern cities in China and thus offers almost nothing for tourists other than great modern architecture. There is virtually no history of any kind and almost zero in the way of temples, monuments, historic sites. Thus, you'll have to make do with what they do have and the OCT culture area is probably top of that heap. It's an area of former factories that is now a design collective. Most of what's here isn't open to the public as it's design offices and store fronts, but it's a good place to wander and there are interesting pockets of public sculpture, murals and interesting architecture. Plus the ubiquitous Starbucks and other local coffee and snack shops. There are also a couple of exhibition halls. Everything is free and it's easily accessible by bus and metro. A nice place to hang for a few hours.!!!
It's my day off. And my taste buds are craving for some Korean... 😋
The resto is called New Mapogalmaegi.
Located at the Bar Street, Shopping Park, (across Coco Park Mall) in CBD, Futian.
They got ala carte, but we asked for the 98rmb Unlimited Pork meal.
Yes you read it right, all you can eat Pork meal (all the food shown in the photos) for 2 hours.
Consume what you can consume.
The staff will attend to you, to cook the meats for you. Get you extra rice. Or that really good plum juice. Or even more kimchi to pair with your meat.
All you gotta do there is eat.
We only stayed for 1 and 1/2 hours.
So full. I will have a good sleep tonight.
They are open from 5pm to 11pm.
Give it a try. Highly recommended.
Thank me after. 👍👍👍

With a fairly long coastline, one benefit of Shenzhen is how accessible the outskirts can be and how easy it can be to get to the coast.
While beaches are within a subway journey of downtown, you can head a little further afield to Dapeng for something a little different.
A little harder to get to, Dapeng’s beaches tend to be a little quieter, the towns a little more relaxing and the views just a bit more peaceful.
Plus, who can complain when just a stone’s throw from the beach there is a relatively cool temple that you can go wander around in when lazing around isn’t doing it for you anymore.
All-in-all, a decent weekend escape from the city centre.
This summer my friends and I went to the Mint house from July 6-8 for a bit of a getaway!
It was a lot of fun, rooms were great to sleep in, pool was great and the house even had it’s own BBQ!
Would definitely come back again! 🌊
Getting There - you cab arrangr a Taxi to take you to Lotus mountain
Attractions - loads of nature, plants, food stalls, childrens attractions and so on.
Hotels - you can stay in the city the drive isnt very far.
Food & Restaurants - local spots close by abd food stalls.
This spot was empty when i went, there are many view points and different things to see. I would even suggest to spend the enyire day there and bringing a basket with food. It is great for famalies and for couples. This is really a wonderful place to escape from the crazy city liffe which guangzhou is known for. During summer it is very hot, but its worth a visit.
Had the great pleasure to stay at the Garden Hotel for 3 nights and 4 days with my friend and her daughter and it was a great experience.
The staff were all so kind and helpful, the facilities were taken care of and clean. We were specifically looking for a hotel with an outdoor pool and The Garden Hotel offered one! We were served at the pool with drinks and wet towels, which was nice. 😌
We also went and had afternoon tea! It was all well worth the price we paid! Beautiful view (waterfall), yummy food and kind staff. Carrie was serving us and was very friendly, helpful and gave us some background context about the afternoon tea.
Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely come back again! ☺️
I'm just admiring this homestay we found just outside Yuexiu Park, one of the big urban park in Guangzhou. ❤️
Since I like old school antiques, I am really fascinated how the interior is designed.
It got 3 spacious bedrooms with 3 baths, a living room, kitchen and dining room.
Every single detail of decoration is well-thought of. The landlady said its a mixed of modern and Chinese culture designs. From the lamps, the bed frame, the dining set, the tea set, everything in the house just flows.
We stayed 3 days and 2 nights.
Price worth: good and affordable
Not to mention the location of this homestay is also good. A lot of small food shops and fast food chains around the area.
Shopping for souvenirs is also no problem. The small shops got a variety of items they're selling.
Nice ambiance. ❤️

We were so skeptical if we goin inside or not on this antique shop inside Shamian Island.
But we did it anyways.
Antiques got no boundaries.
As long as it is old, it will have a value.
From jewelries such as yellow stone pendants, pearl earrings, figurines worth 480,00rmb, whew!
Paintings, teacups, authentic China ware plates, grand piano dated 1929. A lyric sheet older than me. They also have a jukebox. They even have a complete dining set. Big clocks are just eerie to me hahaha. After checking every collection, at the end of the day, we bought a vintage ring worth 1300rmb. Really pretty. ❤️
This is one for the book. 👍

They say, when you travel, Try to eat like a local. So we did. Best decision.
We head to YUM CHA! ❤️
The best Yum Cha place in Guangzhou is called YINCHIA BIDIAN Hongkong Style that you can find in No. 8 Zhongshan 5th Rd., Yuexiu District, Guangzhou.
Yum Cha is a Chinese dining experience that involves drinking tea and eating dimsum.
Yum Cha is Cantonese word that literally means "to drink tea".
Either you go for late breakfast (around 10am) or like afternoon tea time (3pm).
Serving tea (which believed to help you digest the food) and dimsum dishes.
Dimsum like phoenix claw (chicken feet), char siu Bao, spring rolls, hakao, siomai, spare ribs, and a lot more.
We ordered every single kind in the menu. Started the dine in at 10am, eat, talk, tea. We finished and got out in the restaurant around 12:30 noon.
Great food. Great ambiance. Great experience.
