When you get off the subway at Gold Souk, you will find yourself in a local atmosphere. There are so many luxury cars along the roadside. Gold products hang like noodles from the shops and windows, almost tempting one to commit a crime. It made me want to imitate a movie where I walk in and shout, “Robbery!” and then brush a gold chain into my back pocket. On a more serious note, if you want to go shopping for gold, this is the perfect place to do it. The prices here are cheaper than what you will find back home and each store is registered in the economic sector of Dubai. You won’t have an experience where you find fake or shoddy products. However, most of the products at the Gold Souk is about 18K, which is about 75% gold. The prices are the same in almost all the stores. There is no room for bargaining. The more complicated the jewellery design is, the higher the price is as well. Some of the prices are even costlier than the price of pure gold, but the work is absolutely first class.
