I saw the Tokyo Tower in a Japanese drama; the tall tower of red and white that kept silent watch over the city. Most of the romance scenes in the drama were set at the foot of the Tokyo Tower. It seems as though the Japanese have associated a particular feeling with the tower; one of intimacy and romance. Similar to the “Tokyo Love Story,” the first time I visited Tokyo was when I visited the tower in the middle of the night, and it was made complete when I climbed it. Many people recommend going to visit the Tokyo Tower when in the city. If you visit Roppongi’s Tokyo City View, you will have a great view of the tower. It is beautiful with its red lights intertwining and joining together with the projection lights. When you look at the Tokyo Tower, you will also be able to see the Tokyo Skytree looming in the distance. The observation deck has no indoor lighting, making the night scene mesmerizing and incredibly intimate.
