About Dujiangyan: Dujiangyan is located to the west of Chengdu. It gets its name from the famous Dujiangyan Irrigation System. The Dujiangyan Irrigation System is an ancient irrigation project that was built more than 2,000 years ago. Even today it is still in working order. Close to Dujiangyan, Qingcheng Mountain is also very much worth visiting. Zhang Daoling, the founder of China's homegrown religion—Taoism, came to Qingcheng Mountain to build a monastery 1,800 years ago. This place is the original site from which Taoism spread. Qingcheng Houshan—the rear slopes of Qingcheng Mountain—has lush forests with clear and pure air. Locals often choose to come here for a relaxing weekend.
