Food was flavorful, and our server was very helpful with suggestions when I asked. Also, a variety of dishes are on the menu, so anyone can be satisfied, the only problem is choosing from all the delicious offerings. I highly recommend Flavour of India Edgecliff!

A cold night and in need for something a bit special. Passed many times before. This night we went in on a whim, early. First signs not encouraging, half empty. But quickly seated even without a reservation. Decor is modern, interesting little mezzanine upper area, but we chose near the bar near the entrance. Chose the Omakase d&eacute;gustation multi-course fixed menu. At $75 a head (minimum 2) it&#39;s upper end, but in the end probably one course too many, as servings are ample to very generous in size. I was driving, so my dining partner chose a Provence Ros&eacute; by the glass, which was good enough to repeat. Highlights were the oysters, the salmon tartare, and the desert. The Sashimi was good and the fresh radish and properly prepared ginger matched perfectly the Wasabe and Soy sauce. The Squid Tempura was more like deep fried squid,-Tempura should be much lighter, but excellent flavour and a great mayonnaise dip. The flavour of the beef dish was underwhelming, and dipping sauce good but not outstanding. The concluding deserts were well above average and interestingly different. The wine list looked comprehensive and reasonably priced by modern standards in Sydney. Service was good, though not exceptional. Initial menu guidance was very modest, though each plate was described fully on delivery. At the conclusion of the meal we both felt we had had a fine night out, just the right pace, a nice ambience and when it came time to pay the bill it was dealt with quickly and efficiently, often something even major eateries take forever to conclude. Not here. This was a very good meal, with just a bit more refinement in service delivery, and more attention to detail in frying and meat flavour, it could have been really excellent. We will return to try the individual dishes and try lunchtime when next we visit.

This Gowings Bar &amp; Grill is a western restaurant near Darling Harbour in Sydney. This restaurant is a landscape restaurant and the environment is really good. I ordered my favorite steak.

The dining environment here is quiet and comfortable! The waiter is tall, handsome, friendly and kind! The dishes are rich, fresh and tender, juicy and delicious! The weight is also very good! Will visit again next time!

We dine here reasonably often and have never been disappointed. It can be to take advantage of the fixed price menu or for full a la carte dining. Always friendly service from a very experienced team. Great interesting dishes and excellent wine on offer.
