Italy, and especially Tuscany is renowned for wonderful wine. Beer is a different story with most places only offering dreary Peroni or 'international lager'. However craft brewers are springing up to exploit the gap in the market for drinkers wanting tasty good quality beer. Mostodolce is basically a craft beer pub serving good value food. Lots of people were eating and the Pizzas looked good, but the main attraction is the beer. They don't serve wine but do have soft drinks, coffee, and some spirits. The beer range includes a 5% pils, a dark beer, and some strong speciality brews. There is even further variety in bottles. Not everything is available at any given time but there is choice enough and everything we tried was excellent. Certainly the best beer we've tasted in Italy and not bad by any standard. Customers are a mixture of young locals and tourists of all ages. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Service was efficient, if a bit slow, with one hard working guy doing most everything in a calm methodical order. Prices reasonable for Florence. Recommended if you are a beer lover.
