What travelers say:
Welcome to Albacete, the fourth stop of our gastronomic journey!
Restaurante Maralba
“La Mancha cuisine with a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean”, yes, this is the two-Michelin-starred restaurant in the small town of Almansa. Chef Fran Martínez knows how to highlight the characteristics of local cuisine and its products. He gives the rich flavor of La Mancha tradition to various fresh fish, as well as niche fish purchased daily from La Vila Joiosa fish market, paired with La Mancha soul wine and homemade bread, it will definitely bring a different taste experience!

Restaurante Ababol
A Michelin-starred restaurant, the name of the restaurant comes from the local name for poppies, and is famous for its modern and innovative seasonal food experience. Chef Juan Monteagudo offers gourmet dishes from La Mancha, many of which come from his own farm, a carefully selected selection of unique sauces, half portions, and two tasting menus called Tierra and Ababol, where the cauliflower and Iberian lard are worth trying.

Restaurante Azafrán
The restaurant's dishes are from La Mancha, and the menu is very refined. The most important thing is to respect local products, such as artichoke stuffed marinade, handmade shepherd's cheese fried cakes, foie gras and carob bread, partridge and pumpkin lasagna, etc. The menu changes with the seasons, and a rich gastronomic journey awaits you.

El Callejón
A restaurant with a bullfighting atmosphere, here are photos and souvenirs paying tribute to bullfighting figures, as well as traditional La Mancha cuisine, cheese and local wines. In addition, stewed oxtail and La Mancha-style Spanish cold soup are not to be missed!

Avant-garde and tradition come together in a surprising menu with very clear ideas. The determination of two such young chefs to achieve their goal is striking.
I was amazed by every dish, every flavor, every plating, and all the work that is clearly done with great care. I also want to highlight how friendly the entire staff is, always smiling.
A magnificent experience, the service, the food, everything was perfect. It's a shame we couldn't make it to Cuaderno Cero. We'll see you at Cuaderno Dos.
What an experience we had today! We had tried Maite's cañitas and were delighted, but Oba is one of the best gastronomic experiences we've had so far. Incredible how raw materials, many of them endangered, combined with ancestral methods, as well as the R&D of these chefs, have shaped each chapter through the combination of colors, shapes, and flavors to delight our palates. And what can I say about the plating, the crockery, the cutlery, the aura of the dining room, the decor, the care and professionalism, and the friendliness of the front-of-house staff? All this and much more, which I don't want to reveal, is what you'll find in this innovative restaurant, which also praises the fact that the entrepreneurs behind this experience are young entrepreneurs. Here you have a couple who will try Cuaderno Dos again when it's born; the bar is high! Thank you for everything and for the thoughtfulness of offering us another bite with a candle to celebrate my husband's birthday. Details that add up.
