La Paella de Mou

We were so impressed by this little restaurant! We could not have done better finding a place for lunch! The service was one of the best we had during our trip! Not only the waitress was nice, informative and professional, the cook came out to see if we were satisfied with the food. We wanted a paella and we had a “superb” paella! Not only that, it was included in the menu of the day! We had an appetizers, a started, the paella, bread with alioli, and… a tray with four different kind of desserts! 39.00 euros por two people. What a deal!

Excellent taste of the paellas. We ordered 3 different ones and each one was better than the last. Excellent treatment by all the waiters. Without a doubt, we will repeat. And they also have paellas to take home. Great!! And they are GLUTEN FREE! like other things on the menu. They have gluten free bread, beer and desserts! As I said, we will repeat.

Excellent service, very good food. We had revolconas with torreznos from Soria to share and a rice dish for three that was spectacular. For dessert, very, very tasty cheesecake and brioche torrija with caramel, which was also delicious. A real discovery. Average price with drink €30 per person. We had rice left over for one more portion.

The truth is that I have been living in Alcalá for 30 years. I have never eaten rice as tasty and as good as at Mon's paella. The truth is that it has been a real discovery. And it has not been expensive at all. Any other restaurant in Alcalá charges as if you were on the very beach of Malvarrosa. However, this place has very reasonable prices and the rice dishes are quite good.

Second visit, this time with the family and very good. Pathological rice with black trumpet mushrooms with great flavour. We asked for the rice to be more creamy, so that the grain was less whole (by default, as is done in Alicante). Second rice, a banda for the little ones with a lot of punch. Mixed potatoes, ham croquettes and chicken strips to make the wait pleasant. Very good cheesecake and Kinder cake for the sweet-toothed members of the family. The wine list has been expanded. Everything was great and at a price of €28 per person. Reservations are required. Fantastic service from the whole team. There will surely be a third visit.
