Restaurante Alcaravea

We started off outside but moved in as it became too cold. Really buzzing atmosphere inside.The waitress was really helpful with the use of Google translate we managed ok. Lots of locals eating there, always a good sign. Good wine & menu choices

On a recent trip to Castilla y Leon, this was the best meal we had. Not only was the food very good, the service was also excellent. My son had one of the best steaks he's ever eaten, the wine list is extensive and good value. Portions are generous (we shared starters & deserts). My wife's coeliac allergy was very carefully catered for. The ambiance is old fashioned in the best possible way, with coat hooks and racks and a busy buzz. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

Went to Alcaravea with friends and family while visiting Avila. Food was delicious and service was good. Reasonable prices and great ambiance. Many locals.Appetizers were the high note of the experience, although main dishes were also good.Highly recommended!

A charming restaurant upstairs from a bar by the west front of the cathedral, feels like it has been going for a hundred plus years. Helpful and professional waiters.

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel.we enjoyed ourselves very much. The dining room was much too bright, not very romantic. After dinner, coffee or espresso or any other beverages would have been nice if offered.
