Ban Nam kieng Din Restaurant is a western restaurant in Bangkok that focuses on quality and value for money. Their signature dish, beef and cucumber salad, is a must-order for almost every table. The beef and cucumber are paired with sauce, and the dessert, coconut milk banana cake is also delicious.

About an hour drive from central Bangkok, this is a Bavarian themed restaurant with European and Thai style food. Nice setting with a lake with flamingos, rabbits and swans. Food was very average but ok. No local beer, only German beer for 500 baht a liter. Not worth a special trip.

The price of the dishes is very cheap, and there are many types to choose from. However, the shrimp here is often popular with that tender taste, which is not what I like. The fried seasonal vegetables Zheng Ting tastes good.
