Australian Travel Notes ~ Devils Kitchen♪ Devil's Kitchen♪ Located on the Tasman Peninsula in the southeast of Tasmania, it is about 80 kilometers away from the state capital Hobart. It is a free scenic spot. Devil's Kitchen is just a way to describe the uncanny workmanship of nature. It is a narrow bay that extends into the cliff. It was formed by the impact of sea wind and waves for tens of millions of years. The towering cliffs on the three sides of the bay are like knife-cut and axe-chopped, and the criss-crossing cliffs are just like knife marks on a chopping board.

Located on a scenic drive on the east coast of Tasmania, Australia, the Devils Point Cellar Door Lookout offers panoramic views of the Freycinet Peninsula from one of the largest wine estates in the area. Reopened in December 2015, the project was designed by cumulus studio for Australian wine company Brown Brothers to enhance the experience of this iconic landscape and create a new tourism experience for Tasmania's east coast. The cellar door was originally a small demountable building, which was then expanded to include a viewing platform and free food experience area, as well as a display space for seasonal events. The project is designed as a free timber clad building, which through material and aesthetic treatment, forms a modern interpretation of the traditional farm and rural settlement that has developed over time. The cellar door and food market are arranged around a courtyard space, which provides shelter and seating areas facing the surrounding environment, while allowing views through the tasting area to the cliff and open terrace area in front. Passing through a series of carefully placed timber clad containers, visitors can enjoy the beautiful views of the vineyards inside and outside the building through a series of carefully designed frames.
