Creative and delicious dishes presented in an artful way. Very attentive and fast service. A bit cold atmosphere, but that’s just my personal preference.
We really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is, at the same time, sophisticated and simple. The service was great and the food were really special. Many local ingredients and some of them quite noble. All of quality. The help to choose the ideal wine label was also balanced and accurate. The atmosphere is somewhat sober and silent, but, without a doubt, pleasant. It was amazing!
My husband and I were visiting Bilboa on a small group OAT trip. We are true foodies from California so I researched dining options using the Michelin Guide and was happy to find Zortziko. We had just come from visiting Guernica where we enjoyed a winery hosted lunch so we were happy to order just the 6 course dinner. We arrived at Zortziko to find a very classy, beautifully decorated dining room. We were promptly greeted by a pleasant maitre d’ who explained the menu after seating us at a lovely table. We ordered the 6 course dinner with the wine pairing. The wines were excellent accompaniment to our wonderful menu. From the small appetizers and salad to the three small mains (silky fois gras, moist grouper with crunchy asparagus, angus hamburger on top of sweetly roasted onions), all the dishes had multiple sides of small surprising bursts of flavor that accompanied each dish. The dessert of figs on chantilly was a dream! The late harvest txakoli was a perfect pairing that we loved, followed by perfect freshly brewed coffee.Overall, I’d highly recommend dining at this superb restaurant in Bilbao restaurant!
A phenomenal experience all round. We had the 6 course menu with wine pairing and everything about the evening was great. Incredible food, wonderful, attentive staff, who were passionate and knowledgeable about the food. Fantastic wine. All in a very charming dining room that was not at all stuffy.
Really top class food. Excellent presentation. Paced really well. Expect to spend 3.5 hours if having the 11 course tasting menu
