The Lakeview Restaurant at Macdonald Old England Hotel

Fantastic nice place with a lovely view out on the harbor and the Windermere lake. The menu was simpel but contained good alternatives for all in the party. Food was excellent.The ambiance was pleasant and calm, not too much noice som we could all talk together normally. A very nice evening.

Wonderful restaurant, Agatha the Gm looked after us after a small problem, coudn't do enough for us, family enjoyed the experience, highly recommended.

We were seen to a window table with a lovely view of Lake Windermere. My Wife was concerned as to whether she would like the soup and she was given a small cup to sample. She was so pleased about that because the soup was very nice. The whole meal was good and the service was excellent.

Excellent food, service and views. The vegan options were very good as well as the main options, we would particularly recommend the lemon desserts (both the vegan and non-vegan were really tasty and beautifully presented). Beautiful views, attentive staff and good service throughout. We would recommend this restaurant and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
