I have lived in Atlanta for more than 20 years and have heard about the fabulous food at Violette ever since I got here. Somehow it never came to mind when we went out for dinner - and now I am kicking myself. The service is excellent and the food is superb. There is ample parking for the size of the restaurant, with easy access to the interstate. Did I mention the food is fantastic?
Took two long time clients for lunch; charming bistro. Service was prompt, friendly, and very helpful. Prices very reasonable for very tasty food. Clients enjoyed the salad with tuna, and I thought the Trout was really tasty. Great place for business meal with clients, friends, or date.
I had been to this lively restaurant several times for lunch but never for dinner. On Monday April 18, my wife and another couple dined here for dinner. Being Monday, the restaurant was not very busy. Our wait person was wonderful! She knew everything about the menu and the specials for the day. She was patient as we took more than the usual time to make our choices. She was also very helpful with the choice of a nice white wine for our table. My entree choice was the special for Monday, which was a risotto with seafood. It included generous portions of lobster, shrimp and mussels! So good that I am looking forward to another Monday evening just so I can have this dish again. My starter was a cauliflower soup that was delicious. Can't believe we had not been here for dinner since we live less than three miles away. But we loved the new discovery and will be back!
This restaurant is very quaint and convenient for business travelers. The Bar service is good. The Spice seared Ahi Tuna was a great starter. Tried the Canard and I'm sorry to say that the duck was chewy. Will try the lamb chops, next time. The best thing about my entree was the Sweet Potato Hash. the Chocolate Mousse w/ Rasberry coulis was a good finish. Friends raved about the Creme brulee.
