Le Balbec

The food is really good, yet the staff's attitude was unpleasant. We were a group of 6 and 2 of our friends were running late. We were told they had to be there in max 20 minutes if not they couldn't order and that a gastronomic restaurant is like a train, either you hop on on time or you loose it. We also wanted the menu dégustation which was not possible because of the hour. It was not indicated anywhere (including their website) that for the menu dégustation we had to be there at a certain hour. A friend of mine who was with her 4 month old was told to hurry up eating cause they had to bring the next menu. We've been to several Michelin star restaurants and have never been treated like this. An overall sub par expérience

The brunch food was very good, as one would expect, and the service top notch. However, we could not possibly drink the two bottles of wine included in the price, along with bottles of water. So not a good value for the high price charged.

An unforgettable moment to celebrate my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Le Balbec offered us a moment of sweetness: a magnificent setting facing the sea, subtle and emotional cuisine, careful presentation, and above all, exceptionally kind service. Every little detail made this evening even more special. We thank the chef and his entire team for this wonderful memory. A must-see gastronomic gem in Cabourg.

What can be said that hasn't already been said? The magnificence of the sea, the sunset, the comfort, and the attentive welcome all combined to make our evening unforgettable. The reputation of the place is well established, but nothing prevents us from sharing it, while emphasizing that the quality of the dishes is truly magnificent!
