Our server was excellent. She was not very confident with her English but it was actually very good. Better than our Spanish!The view of the Plaza Mayor is excellent.The menu is very diverse. Lots of great choices. The wine list is also very diverse and prices are reasonable.

Really nice dinner. Every dish was good, the staff were really friendly, explaining the ingredients of every dish. The restaurant is inside the old town, cool place.

Another reviewer said 'best meal in Spain'....it was for us! Nothing in Caceres compares. Small menu and each plate was presented with an artistic eye, prepared to the highest standards and with flavor twists that made it memorable. Our waitress was obviously trained and had an attentive approach. Pork and gyoza are highly recommended. We were there early, at 19.30, so the sun was still shining in on one of us.

I don't usually write reviews. But wow! Great location in Caceres beautiful old town. Very friendly and professional staff. The food is sublime and this was one of the best meals I have ever eaten.

This was one of the best meals that we have had so far on our vacation. The food was beyond what we had expected but, even more so, the wait staff could not have been more attentive and helpful with suggestions. We even discussed that we would come back to this beautiful city just to eat at Amaltea again!
