Engenho Velho Hotel.Restaurante

Beautiful, quiet location in a residential area in Arco de Calheta. Great ocean view. Really well prepared food compared to most restaurants we visited during our stay om Madeira Island. Fair prices for the quality and rather large portions. We ended up dining here more than once. Would recommend!

Our second visit to this lovely restaurant, on the final evening of our holiday. It was nice to be recognised by the staff and given a warm welcome. The food again was excellent and the attention we were given brilliant. It was another lovely evening here. Highly recommend it.

Our 2nd time here and we brought friends this time. We were not disappointed, the food and service was really excellent. The fish and black pork and espetada were all excellent. We also received really good house wine pours and we also were offered Madeira wine and Rum on the house which was a very nice touch! Overall, this is a really great place to eat and the service is impeccable and friendly. We will for sure be back again soon!

For the umpteenth time we were very satisfied. Food first class as is the attentive service. In the meantime, some friends also go to the restaurant and are enthusiastic.

Been here twice in a week. Excellent service, stzff very helpful, food was amazing and generous portions. Cannot fault it. Five star service all around.
