Fantastic food, service a bit slow at the start, but we were compensated with a free desert, which was a nice touch. Waitress was lovely and really helpful in the choice of a reasonably priced bottle of wine. Highly recommended.

Whilst staying at RIU Madeira Palace hotel in Caniço De Baxiao we discovered this place very close to our hotel. Trip Advisor reviews were excellent & was noted as one of the of the best restaurants around. We were not disappointed. Reservation via TA was simple. Staff were very friendly with excellent English (although we do try to learn some Portuguese when on holiday!) and the food was Devine. Oh & the wine, whilst all Portuguese or local Madeiran wine was beautiful too. So good we went back twice during our visit. Both times a family of 4 shared 1kg of Picanha with potatoes & veg accompaniments & bread/oil to start & all four had deserts. We shared a bottle of wine & had Madeira to finish. The bill was approx €140 which we thought was very good for what we got! Last time we ate out at home & had anything like similar was well over £250! All in all would highly recommend. The only minor downside I would note (being super critical) was a lack of use of A/C so it got a bit warm).

Wow, how to put into words the experience we had at Laranjinha, it’s often hard to explain how a restaurant leaves you feeling physically and mentally satisfied, but it’s clear this restaurant and staff devote their time and effort to their customers. We felt part of a family from the moment we arrived to the moment they waved goodbye to us. The food was delicious and warming, paired with gorgeous wine recommended by staff who want you to have a wonderful night. Should you want to settle with your family for a catch up, or have a romantic dinner, laranjinha is somewhere I will forever recommended. It would be an honour to dine there again. Obrigado

The nicest meal in Mafeira so far. Great food, excellent service and a nice ambience. We will definately be back before we go home!

We’d seen this Restaurant online when researching the area of our stay, an easy walk up the hill from our Hotel and the restaurant was well worth it! After a lunchtime call in for an afternoon drink, we booked for that night and it was so good we came back on our final night, brilliant food, superb steaks and excellent service - would heartily recommend to all.
