97 avenue de la Republique, 63100, Clermont-Ferrand, France
What travelers say:
Small, simple restaurant, friendly staff, good atmosphere, quality food, good value for money.
However, difficult to find: confusion between the name of the chain (The Fork), the name of the hotel (IBIS), the hotel restaurant (Les Artistes or Ibis Style), barely visible signage (Significant consequences given the very poor numbering of the buildings on the avenue)

Valentine's Day dinner reservation: A place to remember with a gourmet menu. Pleasant, friendly welcome. A real treat and a truly relaxing break in a very pleasant setting. Easy-to-access restaurant, right next to the Pôle Santé République and the ASM Rugby stadium, with parking available all along the avenue, except on match days! Congratulations and thank you for your hospitality. Keep it up!
A surprising welcome, as we were told point-blank that "Next time, don't book through The Fork because they charge us a €2 commission on each reservation!!! And Google isn't any better, they charge us 18%." Good. Okay. Good morning, Madam. Classic decor, fairly comfortable seating, table large enough to avoid crowding. On the plate, we were a bit disappointed. The Chef's St. Nectaire Burger was average. The ground beef was cooked properly, but the buns had been reheated in a way that made them a little stale and less fluffy. A shame. As for the St. Nectaire, we have to admit that there wasn't enough of it. The fries/salad side dish was very standard. The service was friendly, with young staff who did their job well. The sugar on the crème brûlée for dessert could have been caramelized at the last minute. In short, a restaurant that thrives on its laurels... This is also the case for other establishments in the area...
Decent meal but high price for the quantities served and service sometimes complicated, we had to remind the server several times to have all the desserts on our table.
Acceptable service: Two young men with poorly fitted and stained shirts, but they gave good advice, so it was good. A bit of a cold welcome: if you arrive at 5:00, they make you wait at the bar, and at noon, they rush you to sit down. Desserts that don't match the menu. Main course: acceptable, but nothing special. Frozen and overcooked fries. Not much effort was made on the presentation. In short: acceptable, could do better.
