What travelers say:
I’ve just met up with four friends I’d not seen for 45 years - and TWE completely ticked every box - from being welcomed, seated, hot plates and good hot fresh food - it didn’t disappoint and there was no pressure to leave our table. I don’t know when I have ever had really good food that met everyone’s tastes and needs. I can truthfully say that on this occasion the staff, attention, food and ambience was outstanding. I’m also conscious that there are a number of staff behind the scenes and in the kitchen who don’t get praise/tips directly from the customers and trust they will hear this review too.

Genuinely, never had a bad meal here. Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful, food as always…top notch! Thank you
The starter with black pudding and an egg was delicious, highlight of the meal. The fish and chips were also great, massive portion size. The Veggy special pasta was underwhelming, very samey and not spicy as stated. It needed something extra, like some rocket to take away the repetitiveness.
We are frequent visitors to The World's End. The service is usually excellent but on this occasion it was really not so good. We waited a long time to have even our drink order taken and so long for our food that I had to go and ask when we'd get it because my husband is diabetic and felt low. The staff working worked very hard but there were too few of them for the number of diners - it was very busy. The food was, as usual, very good.
A lovely experience today. It was a Tuesday but there were quite a few people having lunch. We were 3 ladies and we were served attentively by very friendly waiting staff. The food was excellent and very fresh. A lovely room with plenty of space between tables and great ambience.
