Essencia Restaurant

Been lucky enough to fine dine in Paris New York Sydney Singapour and Southend on Sea and Essencia's food easily compares with them all. Lunch was delightful with a great selection, the local Rose wine was cold crisp and dry in fact perfect. We will be returning to sample the rest of the menu although our very helpful waiter did inform us that the menu changes every week so I can see many many visits in the near future .

Excellent food, service and value for money! We all ordered something different and everything was of a very high standard. We will definitely return.

Arriving at the restaurant left us in a bit of doubt. We were however welcomed with great spanish hospitality. The restaurant was filled with people, yes, in the end of september!. We were quickly seated in a lovely place.. we got some wonderfull fresh spanish bread accompanied with burning butter. (And ile leave the burning butter up to you when you visit! ;) )The waiters were super lovely, told us all about the wine list.. asked us friendly if we wanted the chefs menu or the ala carte’ .We opted for the Menu du Chef. Chose the carpaccio, prawns as starter and duck breast and pork belly as main..The food is was beyond perfect!They even gave us 2 free “aperatifs” with our coffee.Definately worth the visit! These people deserve 6 stars.
