Pousada Mosteiro do Crato Restaurant

For our second night in this Pousada we enjoyed another excellent meal in the restaurant. The chef da mesa was delightful and very attentive; we were also honoured with a visit to the table by the head chef, from whom we learnt some fascinating things about Portuguese cuisine. Overall a splendid dining experience, highly recommended.

The outside of the building is beautiful but once in the dinningroom there is not much to see. The room is large with several table’s which is not realy good for the akoestics.. The service is correct but nothing special. The food however dissapointing. Didn’t seem fresh.

The meat and fish are perfectly prepared. Friendly service. The combination of a historic building with modern facilities has been very successful.

A good room. A reasonable food that does not match the quality of the hotel and much less the price
