Delightfully close to Palazzo Trinci and the shopping district of Foligno, Umami was a great discovery. We ate outdoors, but we looked inside and the decor is efficient and nice. A pasta named for the owner&rsquo;s grandfather Rodolfo was delicious, and a sushi bowl was a unique and tasty appetizer.

Umami Boutique is a culinary delight! The fusion flavors are expertly crafted, with every dish showcasing creativity and depth. The ambiance is chic yet inviting, and the service is attentive and warm. A perfect spot for food lovers seeking a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for a taste adventure!

We&rsquo;ve spent 3 days in Umbria and had some lovely meals and good wine&hellip; but this is the best we have had so far. Chef Stephano, who speaks good enough English and fluent French, went out of his way to explain everything to us. For an area that is short of fish dishes he had tuna and amberjack on his menus. We had a great meal, good wine and he spent time explaining everything to us. If you&rsquo;re in the area, this restaurant is a must!!!

Brilliant food, modern Italian dishes with a twist, attentive and knowledgeable service

This was only my second visit / pilgrimage to La Lanterna as I don&rsquo;t live in Umbria. So I chose the same 3 dishes to see whether I had imagined the quality and taste experienced during my first visit. I HAD NOT! It was just as wonderful. And all the other customers were Italian which is always a good sign. And thank you Claudio and Paola for your lovely warm welcome. See you very soon!

Our dining experience far surpassed 5 stars! The staff were helpful, friendly and provided exceptional recommendations for our dining experience. The wine selection was exquisite. Thank you Gus&rsquo; staff for such an incredible experience!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Medi. We concentrated on their seafood offerings and were not disappointed. The tartar appetizer was excellent. The crab risotto was perfect. Our main courses: tuna with red onions and a whole orata (sea bream) were also really good. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. Overall, a great first experience with this restaurant.

My wife and I live in a neighboring city much of each year and, frequently, try to find and experience restaurants new to us.  Prior reviews of this restaurant gave it high marks but none of the reviews had been recent.  We decided to take our chances and were delighted that we did.  The food was excellent and beautifully presented.  Alessandro, the owner and chef, personally attended to our table and explained his various offerings.  We sat inside because it was windy but, there is a nice outside dining area that filled up by later in the evening.  We anticipate returning in the next few days and bringing friends.
