Pounders is located on the Windward Coast of Oahu and serves local Hawaiian delicacies. Taro is both important and sacred to the native Hawaiians. The local language calls taro Kalo. The taro chips are crispy, and the smoked swordfish sauce with sour cream, cream cheese and lemon juice is rich in flavor, slightly sour and sweet, and particularly appetizing. Pok&eacute; can be said to be the most popular snack in Hawaii. The Pok&eacute; in this restaurant is sprinkled with sesame seeds and roasted garlic on the outside of the tuna, and paired with fresh green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, cucumbers and onions produced locally. The taste is fresh and delicious. The first main course is here: slow-cooked boneless beef ribs. The boneless beef ribs are first lightly grilled using the BBQ method to give it a barbecue aroma, and then put into a cast iron pot and slow-cooked with a specially prepared sauce. The fibers of the entire beef ribs are turned into soft and crispy during the slow cooking, tightly wrapped in a rich sauce, with the charm of Chinese-style stewed beef and excellent taste. The second main course is Hawaiian grilled fish, which is wrapped with macadamia nut and basil, grilled until crispy, and served with a sauce made of mango and papaya. The fish is tender, and the fruits, nuts and spices bring a refreshing and complex tropical flavor.
