I went to Taiwan and ate at six or seven night markets. The one that impressed me the most was the braised pork rice at Tianyi Xiangrougengshun in Keelung Night Market. The white rice was distinct and plump, and the fragrant, non-greasy, slightly sweet braised pork sauce was poured on top. The local old brand of nougat is not cheap, a bag of candy costs NT$250. The candy is made without preservatives, all with almonds, and there are a lot of granules, so it doesn&#39;t stick to your teeth when you eat it.
