The Star Inn

It was our very first visit to The Star, won’t be our lady I may add.We both had pork belly and have to say it was without doubt the best we’ve ever had, no horrible greasy fat just all meat! The Eaton Mess and Creme Brûlée was to die for.All in all a very pleasurable experience.

We changed our booking at the last minute from 3 adults to 5 adults and a 5 month old baby. We were given a lovely table with room for the buggy. It was the first time my daughter had taken the baby out in the evening and we were made to feel very welcome. Our waitress was excellent and very friendly. Food was delicious and we did not feel at all rushed. We all had a lovely evening. We will definitely be returning customers. Thank you

The welcome was inviting, the sevice was very good and the food was wonderful. This was our second visit in in the last two months and we will certainly be back again and will recommend to friends.

There’s already a limited menu and it was disappointing to also be told no burgers available and only 1 choice of mini puddings. But service was very good and friendly and the food came quickly.

Unfortunately, at 7.30 pm the menu choices actually available was disappointing. Of the 5 us at the table 4 could not get there 1st choice, why wife could not even get her second choice and had to select a 3rd. Even the advertised drink of Gin with Ginger Tonic and raspberries fell short with no Ginger Tonic or raspberries. It was quite laughable when our second round of drinks came up short, as the waiter said “the tablets were not talking to each other”Apart from that, we used the mishaps as entertainment. Yes we will come again, but will use your online app food order before arriving to ensure we get our first choice of meal.
