Kristiansand is the fifth largest city in Norway. Due to the Gulf Stream, Kristiansand is nicknamed the &quot;Summer City&quot; of Norway. The city&#39;s architectural style and colors are unique to the south, with a hint of warmth. Kristiansand is not a big city, and you can easily walk to explore its history. The typical old wooden houses, Gothic churches, military castles and facilities in southern Norway distributed in the old town on both sides of the harbor and the Otrar River tell their brilliant and colorful history with the rings of time and the vicissitudes of precipitation; the bustling fish market with a view of the harbor, the Kristiansand Open Air Museum, the southernmost lighthouse in Norway and the National Lighthouse Museum are also good places to learn about Norwegian humanities and history.
