Musso & Frank Grill

It is about 400 kilometers from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, mainly on Highway 15. You need to cross mountains and ridges along the way. It is basically a Gobi desert, but there are green plants scattered on the desert. The road is straight and the vision is very good.

Yesterday I went to Musso & Frank Grill, the oldest restaurant in Hollywood, with a history of 94 years. The interior decoration has hardly changed. The waiters are all in old-fashioned waiter uniforms. They are super friendly and the food is good. It is right on Hollywood Boulevard. Recommended

It was already past 1 o'clock when I arrived in LA. For lunch, I accidentally visited the legendary Musso&Frank Grill, which has been open since 1919... Cai Lan recommended it in "The Must-Visit Restaurant in Life". It is also a place frequented by Monroe, Charlie Chaplin, and Marlon Brando. In short, it is really amazing to read the introduction. The waiters are all old gentlemen with blue eyes and gray-white oily hair. A dark red cowhide booklet will be handed along with the menu, which proudly introduces the history of the restaurant. When ordering, he asked me "Have you read it?" I....? ? 🤷🏿‍♂️? ? Speaking of food, it's too big, right? ! The salad alone was huge, and the waiter was so kind that he put two plates for us, each of which was like a mountain... After a long time, the sea level didn't drop at all... We ordered ribeye steak, which was as thick as a thumb~ The outer layer was quickly wrapped with high heat, and the meat juice flowed out when it was cut. It was a little overcooked, but the taste was still tender~ Especially when the steak entered the mouth, there was a hint of fruity wood fragrance, which continued along the taste buds to the nasal cavity? It felt a bit like Quanjude in LA... The cream scallops were not bad, and they were soft~ The final bill, including tax and tip, was $130, which was not expensive. But there was no need to go there specially to check in... Our hotel was next to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and it was just a ten-minute walk away. If I had to call a taxi to eat there, I would have cursed the mountain gate❤️Hehe

Came here for lunch on October 5.   This restaurant is on the "Avenue of Stars" and has been open since 1919, so it can be considered a "time-honored brand". The facade is not very impressive, but the interior decoration still retains the style of the early 20th century. Coupled with the male waiter in a scarlet coat, the daily customized menu and the playing of old jazz music, the atmosphere of the entire store is full of sentiment.   Although there are many customers in the store, everyone just talks in a low voice at most, so the dining environment in the store is very good.   Since I didn't eat much breakfast early in the morning, I ordered a little too much when I came here for lunch. Compared with the dining environment full of sentiment, the quality of his dishes is good, but relatively standard.   Consommé ($6.00): The soup looks bland and has little oil, but it is delicious and appetizing. It is similar to the soup in Chinese cuisine. It tastes close to braised pork soup, but it is lighter and has a good effect of awakening the taste buds. It is worth recommending.   French Fried Zucchini ($11.00): It is just the common fried pumpkin cubes, nothing special. There is not much point in ordering it.   Creamed Spinach ($11.00): As the name suggests, it is creamed spinach. The rich cream aroma is blended with the spinach juice. The taste and flavor are excellent. It is a very good side dish. It is worth recommending.   Roast Lamb ($36.00): The lamb is tender and not smelly. The roasting temperature is just right. It is delicious even without the mint sauce. The roasted potatoes are also generous and delicious with yogurt sauce. This main course is enough to fill a man with a big appetite.   Boiled Lobster Tail (market price): Freshly shipped from the seafood market every day, so the price is also in line with the market. The freshness of the lobster can be seen from the meat and the shrimp oil oozing out of the meat. Dip it in a little butter sauce provided by the store, and the taste is even better.   New York Steak ($37.00): A regular dish in a steakhouse, very good, but not outstanding.   Spumoni Slice ($7.50): This is an ice cream cake with three layers of strawberry, cantaloupe and vanilla in the middle. The taste is not bad, and it feels very similar to the "three-color cup" ice cream in China.

Authentic French bistro - delicious oysters and snails. The dish of choice was steak tartare, although the butter fried lemon sole with capers was also delicious. For dessert I was hesitant between the rum barbaté and the chocolate dome, both were so good it was hard to choose - I went for the latter and was not disappointed! The staff were also very efficient and friendly, and the wine list had some great (and unusual) choices. Highly recommended!

Musso & Frank Grill is located on the Avenue of Stars and is quite popular. It has old American-style decoration. The dim lights make it more magical and charming when you have dinner in the restaurant at night. The steak is of good quality and the vegetable salad is also appetizing.
