The castle is very beautiful. The Cabillaud contise au basilic was my favorite. The desserts are a delight.
Sadly, the food was nearly inedible. Badly cooked fish and seafood, with bizarre and poorly matched accompaniments. Stale bread. Stale choux pastry for dessert. Refrigerated and dried out cheeses. Strongly urge all to avoid.
We discovered this restaurant while spending our yums. We ordered dishes from the menu and were still treated to the appetizers and the freshness moment offered on the menu. The dishes are very good and well presented. The meat portions are not generous. The cheese platter is predetermined and consists of Sainte Maure de Touraine, local cow's milk cheese, and... Savoie cheese. A Loire pebble might have been more local. The dining room is very large and representative of a château reception hall. The service is impeccable. We had a pleasant evening, but the price/quality ratio is high compared to other restaurants of comparable standing and for an equivalent service.
We are delighted to have celebrated our 15th anniversary in this château. An idyllic setting, quality food and wine, and exceptional and friendly service. Thank you to the Louis XIII for this unforgettable and emotional moment for my wife. Ludovic Penaguin
Excellent meal, refined and balanced cuisine using seasonal, high-quality ingredients. A friendly, smiling waitress with excellent recommendations.
