The garlic bread in flower pot was too wet, the sauce had no special features, the organic blueberry juice was just oob; the intalian meatball and scallop risotto were just average. I ordered the special of the day, oysters as a starter for 15NZ$, paired with a glass of Chardonney...it tasted great

Matakana Market is a European-style weekend market in the suburbs of Auckland. This restaurant in the center of the market is decorated in a country style, with wooden tables and chairs, a fireplace, and serves handmade desserts. The indoor and outdoor seats are full of diners. Many people drink coffee in the morning, add a piece of dessert, and chat casually. The viewing table by the water is the most popular and has a wild charm. The restaurant also has simple meals, and the price is similar to that in the city.

The menu has a wide variety of choices. The waiter was very enthusiastic in recommending dishes to us. We ordered several special dishes and they were all very delicious.
