We were very excited to eat at Itta Bena while in Memphis. We found the &quot;hidden&quot; staircase that takes you up to the restaurant. The restaurant itself is lovely. We had a table by the window and loved overlooking the people walking on the street below. Our server was very nice and the live music was a wonderful touch. The only problem was the food was disappointing. I had the salmon which was fair at best. My husband had the shrimp and grits and he said he has had much better. We will not be going back. Our bill was over $100 and the meal was not worth it at all. The atmosphere is worth it but the most important thing is the food itself.
