Spain Barcelona Antoni Gaud&iacute;&#39;s Fantasy World Casa Batll&oacute;

Casa Batll&oacute; was built in 1877 as the home of the then textile tycoon Batll&oacute;. This building was not originally designed by Gaud&iacute;, who renovated it from 1904 to 1906. After Gaud&iacute;&#39;s renovation, Casa Batll&oacute; became one of the highlights on Passeig de Gr&agrave;cia and was listed as a World Heritage Site in 2005.

The Batll&oacute; family is a very famous textile merchant in Barcelona. Josep Batll&oacute; of Casanovas owns textile industries in several cities. The Batll&oacute; family also founded the newspaper La Vanguardia. Josep Batll&oacute; hoped that the architect would design a house that was bolder and more creative than the others. Josep Batll&oacute; and his wives decided not to limit Gaud&iacute;&#39;s creativity. He chose the style of Park G&uuml;ell. The Batll&oacute; family lived in Casa Batll&oacute; until the 1850s.

This apartment building with an unconventional appearance has a history of more than 100 years. The entire exterior wall of the building is covered with colorful mosaics, and the roof looks like dragon scales, full of magical colors. The walls are all decorated with blue and green ceramics, which look like the palette of an impressionist painter from a distance, but the colors are surprisingly harmonious. The main hall is the most essential part of the whole house, and modern crafts can be seen everywhere in the hall.
