My love for lobsters is endless. I recently saw a Japanese food video where there were more sea urchins than rice. I was so hungry! So I went to a seafood restaurant in Milan again. This Osteria Al Molo 13 (if you search on Google, you will see reviews for At Pier 13, which is the same restaurant) is highly rated locally and has a Sardinian style.
First of all, the paintings on the wall are very interesting, and one of the waiters is very... humorous
Opening the menu, the prices are quite affordable. For example, the lobster noodles that everyone cares about are 25 euros per serving, but the taste of Langosteria is better (of course, the price is also higher).
- You can combine the raw cold dishes yourself. The cat who only wants to eat sea urchins directly ordered 6, 3 euros per piece. One of them felt that the freshness was not as high as the others. The taste was obvious in some sweetness and some salty.
- Clam soup, in fact, there is only a little soup, mainly to eat this large plate of clams, each of which is plump and tender. The spit sand is generally good, with only one or two impurities. 16 euros per portion, the amount of clams in it is really conscience.
- There are two types of lobster noodles, laragosta and astice. Both are lobster in English, and sometimes astice is translated as homarus. As for the difference, I ordered these two and felt that: the meat of laragosta is firmer and chewier, and the body of astice is also firm, and the meat in the big claws is like that of brown crab. As for the tomato sauce in the noodles, the laragosta lobster noodles are a bit sour, and the sauce of astice lobster noodles is just the right sweet and sour. Both are 25 euros per portion, which is very affordable. Both of them think that the other Langosteria is really better in terms of sauce taste and meat cooking, of course, the price is 10 euros more expensive.
- The accompanying crisps can really be eaten up by accident.
- It doesn't matter if you don't order dessert after eating, there is a small box of small sweets.
It is also a popular restaurant. The store is actually very large, divided into two large rooms inside and outside, and all seats are reserved in advance. We met a young couple who came without a reservation and were politely turned away by the clerk.

Molo 13 is one of the best restaurants in Milan for fish. The food is delicious from the warm antipasta to the baked fish with artichoke and potatoes, down to the zabaglione dessert. We have returned to this restaurant many times and the quality is always consistent. The service is friendly, efficient and courteous. The restaurant is small and charming.
We have been back to Osteria Molo 13 many times and the food is consistently delicious! Every single dish we ordered tasted so good. Warm antipasti come with generous portions, accompanied by scrumptious crispy pane carasau. We ordered the Rombo with potato and artichoke for two: extremely tasty. The zabaglione with little biscuits topped with coffee ice cream was the perfect end to a great meal. Service was courteous and prompt as usual. As the restaurant space is small, it tends to feel bit crowded when full (and it is always full when we go). Dining early and arriving before the main dinner crowd is recommended for a more spacious and tranquil meal.
I have been here previously 20 years ago and I took the business card for if I ever came back to Milan. Not expecting it to still be here 2 decades later I booked it hoping it would be just as good. Well it was even better. Fantastic food and service, great atmosphere, one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in the world.
Surprising, really! We didn’t expect such an experience, a tasty one .Now I can understand why plenty of people dinning here- quite a quality, in “all” the meanings .Compliments.
