Beautiful and elegant environment. The wines were exceptional, but it is worth skipping the coctails. The menu was full of tastes.
George is a stylish venue with a bevy of tuxedoed servers, dedicated to your every wish. The dining room is modern and unfussy. with floor-to-ceiling glass doors beyond which is a terrace (for warmer months) and a 180-dgeree view of the Bay of Naples.Offerings include three distinct tasting menus, or you may choose your own favorites a la cart. The wine list is broad (Wine Spectator Award) but not necessarily deep in its offerings. Courses are thoughtfully composed to not be too large. Service is very good, but can be a bit chaotic and/or hurried, as 4 to 6 servers may attend your table. It also takes a bit for servers to warm up to you, so be sure to engage them. One caveat I would point out is that the hotel in which the restaurant is situated is on top of a ridge, so a taxi to/from is a must. Another is that the entrance to the dining room is through a special 6th-floor door. But the toilets are in the cellar, so anticipate the need to powder your nose.
Very nice location. Very good service. Excellent and very good courses. One star justified. Wine pairing too expensive for the level of wines.
This restaurant is a whole experience. From service to food quality was excellent!! We enjoyed everything!! It was an experience unforgettable. Thank you!
The presentation, the food quality, and the service, everything was perfect. Eating at George was a new experience where before, in between and after meals we were offered unique and interesting "treats" designed by the chef and presented in the most delightful settings. The treats were delicious. And if that wasn't enough, we were presented with a going-away gift bag with more treats and a card for my self and one for my husband that were signed by the renowned chef and included the items we had selected to eat from the menu - a keepsake of our dining experience. A wonderful evening and experience.
