Sweet Basil

Sweet Basil is awesome. It uses Boston's seafood advantage and adds the flavor of Italian cuisine. It's delicious, especially the salmon fried in olive oil. It's so fragrant.

The polenta is a favourite dish and on our most recent visit which was on a Friday night we had the pork belly gnocchi for starter and also had the calamari and beef steak with polenta and spinach which were all delicious and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food.

I have lived 5 minutes from this place for the past 2 years. I can't believe I waited so long! We had two pastas of bolognese and rosemary chicken penne, I really think this place has the best Italian food in the US, although I have not been to Italy, I think the food here tastes really good.

The lobster ravioli is super delicious. It is usually very crowded here, so it is best to come early to eat the delicious food first. This is the best food in Italy in my opinion. I like it very much and sometimes I even drive an hour to eat here.

An Italian restaurant in the Boston area. The restaurant environment is very elegant, and the menu is not monotonous. The free bread with pesto sauce is more delicious, and it is well received by diners. The appetizer Baked Gouda is highly recommended. The freshly baked crispy layered bread is infused with rich and soft cheese, and the salad sauce is light and refreshing. Risotto is very fragrant and delicious, but a little salty. Rosemary Chicken pasta is quite fragrant, but the sauce is too greasy, and the cured ham in the side dish is too salty, so it is not recommended.

Highly recommend! Note that they don't have a liquor license but you can bring your own wine and only pay a $5 corkage fee. Great selection! A nice wine shop a few minutes walk from the restaurant. Beetroot, goat cheese salad, mussels, everything was incredibly delicious.
