In the Tasmanian Aboriginal language, palawa kani, &quot;palawa&quot; means &quot;Tasmanian Aboriginal people&quot; and &quot;kipli&quot; means &quot;food&quot;. Palawa Kipli aims to contribute to the continuation and revitalization of Tasmanian Aboriginal culture by combining traditional foods and land management practices.
Palawa Kipli also runs the Kipli Takara Tour: a 90-minute bush tucker walk through the rich landscape led by an Aboriginal guide, where visitors can taste seasonal local bush foods and learn about Aboriginal history and culture. After the experience, guests can also enjoy unique native snacks and drinks, or choose to taste a six-plate high-end native food package.
