Delicious food based on traditional Asturian flavours and produce but with a sophisticated twist. Attractively presented
I had an excellent meal, it was lovely to have really interesting and unusual dishes - artichoke, baked sweet potato with like a lemon sabayon, chilli spider crab and then an amazing desert called Toncinillo which I can neither explain nor translate you just have to go and try it for yourself… superb setting and really nice staff who all made me feel very welcome :-)
This is our 5th time dining at Gloria in Oviedo by Nacho Manzano. Our first visit was in 2022, then several times in 2023 & again last night. The service provided by Jaime (Jimmy) & Johanna, the manager on duty was wonderful. They welcomed us back warmly, with true hospitality. We chose the 7 course Tasting Menu which included delights from the sea, land & garden. Delicious. A wonderful bottle of Godello capped off another memorable evening at this gem of a restaurant in Oviedo.....
Lovely meal with good service. Good English spoken. Had “head of hake” as a special which was a lot nicer than it sounds. Good puddings too.
Attractive location / 20 min walk from historic district./ well prepared, well priced menus items./ excellent service with Joanna / expansive wine list./ highly recommend/ will return
