Overall, the price/performance ratio is really OK.

They are having a view deck where you can have a cold beer after the sun day. Very friendly. These guys are doing a tremendous job keeping every one safe on the beach.

Guys and gals take a bow. The piha slsc is awesome and the "staff" are second to none. Thanks for your tireless efforts to save lives and support your community. You are all superstars.

We had just walked several K in the rain forest which was spectacular but didn't bring any food with us so consulted trip advisor for a review of somewhere to eat and drink in the area. This club came up as well reviewed so we decided to get some lunch here. Now we wish to balance the reviews. Friendly - yes. Food - dreadful. We ordered an american hot dog which ended up being one of those red cheap hot dogs you give your kids when they are small in a bun and cost $10.50. We also had the salt and pepper squid which wasn't too bad but ordered two cokes. My partner's coke had something like a lolly wrapper in the bottom of it when he neared the end and we complained. The excuse was 'it must have been in the ice'. Unsure as to what it was we were totally revolted by the experience and left. As we had already paid we were not offered any money back but were given another coke which we left as we didn't need it. Not recommended....
