Excellent high end food with great service and wine staff. Husband and wife. I had the fixed price menu and my wife selected ala carte. Wonderful, thank you.

Terrific food from start to end. The bread is so good we bought some to take after our meal. Every dish was excellent, with creativity in some (tamboril and camar&atilde;o com massa folha) and perfect execution in the more traditional (the polvo is essentially polvo lagareiro over spinach). Starters were also excellent. And the desert...carrot and citrus fruit is just heavenly. Am I going overboard? I don&#39;t think so, it really is this good.

We stumbled upon the 1858 BBGourmet after emerging from the Pingo Doce across the street.  The 1858 BBGourmet is a casually elegant restaurant providing beautifully composed dinners in a relaxed setting.  The servers are so well informed and trained.  They made the dinner such a pleasant learning experience!   What a very happy stumble!

Dinner in the pleasant garden, attended to by the friendly Bruno, was delightful. We didn&rsquo;t meet the chef but can testify that he does a fine job. bbGourmet criativo is a very pleasant oasis on the edge of Centro Historico.

Two diners walked into this unassuming little place. One was a carnivore, the other vegetarian. Both found creative and delicious options here at extremely reasonable prices. Despite being in Porto on the week, they returned a second night and enjoyed an even better meal than before.

Generous, fresh, delicious seafood. Beautifully presented with great service. Did not expect t.v displaying football at high quality restaurant, but understand local passion for sport. Did not retract from our  wedding anniversary experience.

We went here because my boyfriend wanted to go to a steakhouse for his birthday and we were not disappointed. I would not normally go for steak but oh my goodness it was delicious. The steak was cooked exactly the way I like it and was delicious. My boyfriend had the ribs which were very tender. The staff were friendly and the menu had a wide variety of choices to suit everyone. This place is not super cheap but you get very good quality meat for your money. Would recommend this restaurant!

Excellent food. tapas portions big enough for 2 to share. we had 4  altogether and was more then enough. really tasty food and excellent service. there was live music on while we were there which added to the fantastic atmosphere!

Cheeses and sausages of the best quality served in a very welcoming environment! Highlight for the friendliness of the staff.

Unbelievable food. Trio of bruschetta to start was fantastic. Lasagne was best I&rsquo;ve ever had and the tiramisu was incredible. Highly highly recommend!

Tha ambience is delightful, with an open front to the street with comfortable chairs.  Inside is a rather romantic space with well separated tables.  We were recommended to order a small plate each followed by a shared larger dish.  Quality was excellent and the glasses of recommended wines unusual and well chosen.  Followed by a shared desert.  It was a pleasure, wuth knowledgeable cheerful service
