This is a unique place where I tried local food for the first time in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, the traditional food tasted great
Very traditional Arabic restaurant with a very complete menu, great service and a great atmosphere
The Saudi capital also boasts incredible cuisine! ️Riyadh's traditional Najd cuisine is here! 📍Najd Village A traditional Najd restaurant in Riyadh is a must-try! The entire restaurant is built in traditional Najd architecture with earthy yellow mud bricks, and the Arabian charm is stunning the moment you enter. 🕰️Opening hours: 12:00 PM - 1:00 AM daily 💰Per person: Approximately 100-150 SAR Must-try‼️ 1️⃣Signature Mandhi (Slow-roasted Lamb) The lamb, slow-roasted for 12 hours in a traditional underground oven, is incredibly fragrant! The meat is incredibly tender and won't get stuck in your teeth at all. 2️⃣Kabsa (Saudi Arabia's national dish) The Saudi version of pilaf is incredible! The rice, braised in mutton fat and various spices until golden and shiny, pairs perfectly with the tender lamb. 3️⃣ Jareesh (Wheat and Minced Meat Porridge) Here comes the Saudi breakfast! The thick wheat porridge paired with the lamb is incredibly fragrant. Don't forget to sprinkle some lime juice for a fresh flavor! 4️⃣ Samboosa (Arabic Dumplings) The triangular fried dumplings are incredibly crispy 🤤 Filled with either lamb or cheese, they go perfectly with mint sauce. The restaurant offers a plethora of traditional Arabic desserts, and the Baklava is a must! The layers of puff pastry are topped with pistachios and honey—it's absolutely amazing. The waiters all wear traditional white robes and will teach you how to eat with your right hand (traditional Saudi etiquette!). There's also a cushioned area on the second floor where you can experience the traditional Saudi way of sitting around for a meal. The atmosphere is fantastic! Tips: 1. Women are advised to wear the Abaya, but it's not mandatory. 2. There may be a wait for a table during Friday prayers (12:00-1:30 PM). 3. Be sure to try the Saudi dates and Arabic coffee for dessert! #SaudiFood #Must-SeeRiyadh #ArabicRestaurant #MiddleEastFood #SaudiTravel
On the first day, I flew to Riyadh. After picking up the car, I couldn't wait to drive to the Saudi Arabian specialty restaurant: najd village. The restaurant is completely in the style of traditional Saudi architecture, and the decoration is also very Arabic. The restaurant's QR code ordering has Chinese, but I was still confused. I directly ordered a meal for two. The meal was large, and the meal for two was basically enough for four people. The restaurant has three branches. The one we went to is located in the middle of the three locations. The restaurant is on the main road and the surrounding environment is average. The restaurant itself is a single-family traditional building with semi-partitioned floor seats arranged around the courtyard, which is quite unique. #SaudiTravel #FlowersSameStyle #Riyadh #LocalSpecialRestaurant #NicheTravelDestination
